How You Can Help

Transforming our playground into a high-quality “learning landscape” is a significant undertaking that requires the collective support of our school family and the wider Perth community. Whether you can offer professional expertise, financial support, or a few hours of your time, every contribution helps us reach our goal.

We are looking for individuals who can offer specific skills to help reduce project costs and ensure professional delivery. We are particularly interested in hearing from those with experience in:

  • Trade Skills: Carpentry, landscaping, or groundworks to help with “Quick Win” projects like planters and seating.
  • Design & Planning: Professional experience in landscape architecture or play design.
  • Grant Writing: Experience in navigating the application processes for major UK trusts and national funding bodies.

Local businesses play a vital role in community projects. There are several ways for companies and organisations to get involved:

Many large employers in Perth and the surrounding areas (such as SSE or Aviva) offer matched funding schemes. If you are a parent or carer working for such a company, any personal fundraising you do for the playground could be doubled by your employer.

We are seeking partnerships with local suppliers for building materials. Contributions of the following would be immensely valuable:

  • High-quality, treated timber for planters and benches.
  • Topsoil and hardy, native plants.
  • Woodchip or bark for surface trials.
  • Tarmac or surfacing materials for safety repairs.
